William Drenttel (chairman) is a designer and publisher who works in partnership with Jessica Helfand in New York City. He is president emeritus of the AIGA, and chairman of both the AIGA's Literacy Initiative and the Fifty Books/Fifty Covers of 1996 competition and exhibition. He is actively involved in literacy projects around the country and is a board member of the Poetry Society of America.
