Sculpture/Inuit
Allan Fleming, 1971
Description
The exhibition of masterworks of Eskimo sculpture organized by the Canadian Eskimo Arts Council will be shown in museums and art galleries through the world. The book is intended as a visual recreation of the exhibition, showing each of the pieces on display, with essays providing a background for understanding this art form. The design of the new book was an attempt to create a new classicism around the essential primitivism of the pieces.
