Chronicle Books GiftWorks Display
Gee + Chung Design, San Francisco, California, 1996
Description
For publishers, booksellers, and authors in attendance at the American Booksellers Association Show, the GiftWorks division at Chronicle Books sought an engaging, comfortable, storelike environment to display its greeting cards, calendars, and appointment books. The 30x30–foot in-line display uses a neutral palette of clear maple and galvanized aluminum to effectively highlight Chronicle’s colorful collection. The exhibit’s modular design allows components to be adapted to different floor plans for different shows. The booth’s success as a communications vehicle is based upon being a highly functional display while projecting an innovative, friendly, and intelligent personality for a publisher who “sees things differently.”
