Natalie Norris, George Trenholm (cover design), Wellesley, Massachusetts, 1946
Description
Juror Notes
A very attractive book. Its typographic problems have been well solved, and illustrative material of many periods has been agreeably worked in to make an organic whole. On the other hand, the perhaps unavoidable use of English finish paper has taken away from the color and snap of the halftones, which contrast unfavorably with the good modern three-color line illustrations.
