Each year, Wake Forest University hosts a fall music series for students, faculty, and the general public. The goal of the series is to reflect the broad range of musical interests found in the campus community. The promotional poster design also has to be versatile enough to cover the range of musical styles found on the roster.

The intent was to capture the energy of the music in a very minimal but colorful way. An abstracted representation of a performing orchestra was the direction chosen for the illustration.
