This is one in the publisher’s series, The New Greek Tragedy in Modern Translation. The object of the series is to recreate the Greek tragedies lyrically and idiomatically, as though they had been written by ancient masters wholly at home in the English language of our time. Design for series had to accommodate unique properties of each play.
