Centers for IBM e-business Innovation
Imaginary Forces, Hollywood, California, 2000
Description
Imaginary Forces designed an experience that articulates content as environment. Interactive screens allow for immediate personalization. “Smart” technology guides an audio soundscape that changes with the movement of the inhabitants. The architecture created by Design Office gracefully reconfigures to allow for individual or group experiences. Imaginary Forces and Design Office created a space to reflect and reinforce the e-business prized values of openness, collaboration and flexibility: the space is responsive, activated by the people in it. A fully functional interactive table reshapes the traditional conference table deconstructing the hierarchical model. Participants interact and manipulate digital projections that appear on the table’s surface in eight distinct interfaces. The table configuration encourages collaborative dialogue acting as a local network for shared information.
