This piece is one of a series of cartoons created for NBC’s Saturday Night Live. The audience age range goes from early teens through adult. Satirical comedy through animated celebrity characterization defines its purpose and creative strategy. The parameters are only defined by legal/censorship standards as they apply to satire. Here, the design and animation were purposely kept stiff to enhance the use of actual audio pulled from previous broadcast of a David Brenner interview. He has been put in absurd situations in direct contrast to his mundane story. It demonstrates a clever and effective use of animation.
