My approach to this cover relied greatly on emotion, instinct and spontaneity derived from the same impulses and rhythms as the blues artist themselves. I threw stuff on my copier and worked off the rough texture of the photograph of Robert Johnson. The color was placed haphazardly while trying to select color for the type and found that the Tokyo ink swatches look great as is. Basically, I let it happen.
