Bernina 930 Sewing Machine
Babcock & Schmid Associates, Inc., 1985
Description
The design problem was to repackage many internal components, incorporate some new mechanisms, and create an appearance that simplifies use of the machine. Some features in the design of the control panels: angled top improves viewing of detailed top functions; stitch indicator was moved to a surface common with the stitch selection to avoid parallex; critical settings are identified with LED indicators; and control dial colors correspond with background colors to maximize the legend importance.
