Beowulf
Richard Hendel, Amherst, Massachusetts, 1971
Description
The oversize format was in part dictated by the size of Baskin’s drawings which were slightly reduced. Editorial decisions dictated setting the front and back matter in a smaller size than that used for the main text. Finally, budget limitations were unusually severe, precluding more costly binding and jacket proposals. Cover stamped in black foil.
