Tom Giesmar Paper
Peterson & Company, New York, New York, 1995
Description
The audience was the Dallas graphic design community and the purpose was to announce Tom Geismar as the speaker for that months design club meeting. The creative strategy was to show in a fun and interesting way some major clients. The Mobile pegasus is a well known landmark in downtown Dallas, and it lent itself as a natural vehicle to use on the poster. The only parameters were that a poster format was preferred and not to create a production monster for a low budget print job. Finally, it meant a lot to me to design a poster for a legend such as Tom Geismar. Also, I think success of any piece relies on a good concept and interactive design to help communicate that concept.
