Art Institute of Boston
Visual Dialogue, Boston, Massachusetts, 2006
Description
Although one of the best art schools in the Northeast, previous admissions materials for the Art Insititute of Boston (AIB) didn’t reflect the quality of the school or the kind of students they wanted to attract. Before beginning the creative process, Visual Dialogue partnered with research firm Topic 101 to conduct an online survey of prospective students still in high school and incorporated their feedback into the design. The resulting 200-page book was shot entirely by AIB photo students to give a visual feel for what the school is really like, while the copy speaks in a direct, “unvarnished” voice. We should mention that qualified applications more than doubled after our new design was introduced.
Juror Notes
“Successful design collection for the Art Institute of Boston. A thorough, well-designed book!”
