Aldo Comfort and Fit Packaging
ALDO Group, Montreal, Quebec, 2009
Description
The in-house design team at Aldo sought to convey a simple, utilitarian voice with this packaging for the store’s line of insoles and gels. The package is translucent for easy recognition of what is contained but also conveys a certain softness to communicate what the product can do for you. It is resealable to encourage reuse and 100-percent recyclable.
Juror Notes
I like how “anti” this packaging is.
All you have to do is look at Dr. Scholl’s to see why this package works.
It is shocking for a shoe-aid product to look this good.
Sometimes a little translucency is all you need. We’ve all seen these products before, so you won’t learn anything by seeing them in a glassine bag. This is a much more interesting way of establishing a line.
