Exhibiting Experimental Art in China

Froeter Design, Inc., Chicago, Illinois, 2000

Description

This book is the first serious study of contemporary art exhibitions and exhibition spaces in China. Questions about censorship, self-censorship and the business of art in China ring true in both Eastern and Western cultures. From a design standpoint, this book needed to address the social importance of the commentary while fulfilling the needs of market sophistication. We were very fortunate in that this book designed itself: the editorial content and detail created the tone.
