Céna garçons

Cossette / Identica Branding & Design, Montreal, Quebec, 2009

Description

The goal was to create an enticing piece for a fundraising event that would encourage the participation of the business and financial communities, as well as demonstrate the theater company’s creative vision and cultural involvement. Due to the economic recession, this challenge was even greater.

This electronic invitation used a stop-motion animation technique to convey the “French” nature of the show, give a true sense of the event (tasting new cuisine and attending a theater performance) and present a fresh and dynamic design to convince 2008 contributors to return in 2009.

Juror Notes

The strongest attribute of the piece is the effortless quality of the complex message. The hand-drawn and collage elements work well together with seamless animation and carefully selected music.
