AIGA/SF 1999 Showoff Call for Entries
Turner & Associates, San Francisco, California, 1999
Description
The goal with the 1999 fundraiser was to increase attendance. The event was slated to be an open show for each designer to submit one piece of work. Turner & Associates developed the concept of providing attendees with “praise and scorn” stickers. Guests then individually judged work by adhering stickers to the matte around each submission. There were few projects that were untouched by both praise and scorn from the community. In order to promote the event, a large brochure and small mailer were crafted around a theme of biblical proportions.
