Portfolio X-Hibition Poster
Spur, Baltimore, Maryland, 1996
Description
This cool little guy made out of plumbing parts has been sitting in a hardware store window for fifty years. Both the sculpture and the event it is announcing are assemblages, and as a photographed subject he’s an unexpected surprise on a poster for illustrators.
Since you can still make fun of male anatomy in a mixed audience, the nudity factor ties into the “x” in “X-hibition,” as well as making a double entendre of the word “club.”
