The Colosseum Book
Tassinari/Vetta, Trieste, Italy, 2017
Description
"The Colosseum should be demolished and built again in plastic": Goffredo Parise’s neo-Futurist outburst dates back to the 1960s, when Pop Art in Rome chose the Colosseum as a fetish of Italian culture. With this in mind and starting from the cover, the fragments collected in the book are classified in the layout itself: iconographic materials and pages of literature are arranged in eloquent associations, where the printed word is treated like an image, both continuously presented in relation to the monument.
