Pentagram, New York, New York, 2000

Description

This book was one of the first elements to introduce a new graphic identity we produced for the Whitney Museum of American Art, so it needed to set out a typographic territory that the museum would operate within for some time. It also answered a problem typical of many publications that present a range of disparate images, using an uncoated sheet of paper as a divider between each of the artist’s work. As one page blocked most of the view of the previous page, it also became a place to present a narrative and caption about the art on the opposite page.
