CleanWell Hand Soap
IDEO, San Francisco, California, 2007
Description
CleanWell, a natural cleaning-products company, introduced an all-natural, alcohol- and triclosan-free antimicrobial hand wash. The packaging and visual system were positioned to reflect “simple, safe, clean and approachable” values while adding a nod to nature through the leaf motif.
After many form and use explorations, the canister’s cylinder shape was favored for its simple yet refined design. The package has a satin finish that was chosen for its smooth, touch-friendly feel. To enable the product to be easily recyclable and live comfortably within many different environments, the packaging features an integrated removable-label system.
