American Oncology Resources Annual Report

Rigsby Design, Houston, Texas, 1998

Description

Cancer. What are the odds? This is a question an increasing number of Americans find themselves asking. American Oncology Resources, the largest network of cancer doctors in the United States, asks this question poignantly, then offers a powerful response.

The idea of the ubiquity of cancer frames the discussion in this annual report. Huge numbers—1.3 million Americans diagnosed with the disease every year—are hard to grasp in the abstract. Comparing the odds of developing cancer to the odds that one will need glasses, or know how to swim, or own a television, helps convey the chilling message simply and effectively.
