The War in Iraq: One Week
The New York Times, New York, New York, 2003
Description
Our design problem was to summarize the casualties sustained in during the first week of the invasion of Iraq. The design approach remains essentially the same with all informational graphics at the Times: Be clear and be compelling. Design the data so that its patterns emerge and not the hand of the designer.
Juror Notes
Clear, clean, concise; it all comes together. Just a nice piece of news, easy to read, not over done. Interesting and practical.
