Windhover is North Carolina State University’s visual arts and literary publication. Inspired by the famous war recruitment posters of J.M. Flagg, I incorporated the “I Want You” message into the process through which submissions were collected and chosen for Windhover. This edition utilizes an army figurine as an abstract representation of the submitters, the reader, and myself. I found words in each of the written entries to further support the visual language I developed for the book.
