Holiday boxes 2005

Holiday boxes 2005

Bumble and bumble, New York, New York, 2005

Description

In celebration of the stunning fashion illustrations that helped to bring international fashion designs and beauty trends to American culture before the advent of digital photography, each box features drawings by artists whose work was featured on the pages of WWD and American Vogue during the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s. Each one has a hairstyle theme and contains a styling guide plus related products and accessories for creating each look.

Juror Notes

Celebrating fashion.
Illustrators were specially commissioned.
Color palette is great.
Imagery “shines” and typography doesn’t compete.
Pretty bold move!
