“How to Stop Telemarketers” illustration
The New York Times Magazine, New York, New York, 2001
Description
The New York Times Magazine published a special issue entitled “How to: A User’s Manual for Modern Living.” We asked several comic artists to identify a modern problem that could be visually narrated or explained. Ivan Brunetti proposed the piece “How to Stop Telemarketers” as a humorous riposte to one of the great contemporary annoyances, the telemarketer’s phone call. His graphically charming drawings and perfectly pitched dialogue offered a light-hearted aspect to our issue.
