The New York Times Magazine: A Celebration of 100 Years
The New York Times Magazine, New York, New York, 1996
Description
This issue of the New York Times Magazine was the first of three devoted to celebrating our 100th anniversary. Its intent was to give our readers the flavor of ten decades of extraordinary journalism. It was divided into chapters by decades, with oversized numerals serving as graphic dividers. Varied typographic textures and column widths served to separate the many story excerpts that appeared on each spread. The typography reflects a century of Times design. The cover reflects the richness of written material, and the power of a full century of journalism.
