This Is What I Did:
Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, New York, New York, 2007
Description
With its unique use of script-like prose and over a hundred sections replacing traditional chapters, This Is What I Did: demanded a unique design approach. The imagery in the story is clear and compelling, so every piece of visually identifiable scenery and symbolism was illustrated and compiled into a set of over 60 unique icons used to separate the sections of the text. Following the direct tone and theme of the novel, a minimal cover with a single strong statement was desired, with an arrestingly vibrant green background that stands out on any shelf.
