Inventar lo Posible. Manifiestos Mexicanos Contemporáneos
Studio Santiago da Silva, Berlin, Germany, 2017
Description
This book is a radical provocation: it takes up a tradition of the past to re-found the future. From diverse disciplines and ideological positions, some of the most original creators of contemporary Mexico launch 60 instructions to dream and produce other worlds, 60 invitations to reinvent it.
A mix of destructive and constructive yearnings, of arrogance and naivety, of messianic prophecy and judicial sentence, the manifestos belong to another epoch, a time in which it was possible to collectively imagine different realities and execute them through the word. Today, this peculiar pragmatic idealism is viewed with distrust by the establishment of the Present, the total system that does not want things to change, but only that more things are produced.
In these pages there is a polyphonic declaration of war against the present, the expansion of the battlefield of the possible.
