Walking, 1962, no. 40
Seymour Chwast, Milton Glaser, New York, New York, 1962
Description
Chwast and Glaser used any curious text for the Graphic, like this on the act of walking by Henry David Thoreau. Through their recasting and reinvention they wanted to transform whatever they touched into something more than it was. And this was the epitome of postmodernism before the term was coined.
