Description
When this Graphic was published, the United States was about the enter a war with North Vietnam, so the matériel of warfare had a curious, if prophetic, appeal to Chwast, Alcorn, and Ruffins, who illustrated this issue with benign pictures of uniforms, medals, and tanks. The poems decrying war are by Ambrose Bierce and Wilfred Owen.
