Milton Glaser, New York, New York, 1964

Description

A friend told Glaser and his wife about an odd performer appearing at a seedy nightclub in Greenwich Village. His name was Tiny Tim. Glaser asked him if he would record some songs for an issue on the Follies and took him to a recording studio for half an hour, where they made a floppy record (inserted into the Graphic). It was the first time this soon-to-be pop star had ever recorded. Glaser then did a series whereby he experimented with dot screens overlapping the drawings.
