Special Fashion Issue, October 1978, no. 75
Seymour Chwast, New York, New York, 1978
Description
All the Push Pin artists joined to produce a history of costumes, using collaged vintage engravings to inject an absurd historical dimension. Tom Wolfe reported on alternative youth in Los Angeles in “The Hair Boys.” And performance artist Pat Oleszko’s futurist clown costume was featured among the other “Costume Party” guests. Robbins, newly appointed managing editor, wrote “How Clothes Began.”
