The North Face Fall 2002 workbook
Satellite Design, San Francisco, California, 2001
Description
This trade catalogue is used primarily to accompany sales presentations to outdoor specialty store buyers. It also functions as a product reference for training store associates. Since The North Face products are evaluated based on extremely complicated product specifications, the challenge in designing this piece was to present all of the information in a clear and compelling way. Potential buyers must be able to compare multiple products and quickly understand differences between them. Both buyers and retail associates need to be educated as to the specific product fabrics and technologies.
Juror Notes
“The use of drawings works well—better than photography.”
“This is classic information design, which there’s not enough of.”
