Impulse
Aufuldish & Warinner, San Anselmo, California, 2007
Description
This catalog for the Logan Collection’s extensive collection of works on paper features the work as large as possible, and the uneven edges of the paper are shown when appropriate. To ease navigation, the book uses ribbons to indicate each of the five sections of the book. A yellow ribbon indicates the essay and white ribbons mark the thematically organized plate sections. Captions run vertically along the left edge of the spread to save space and allow for flexibility in the placement of the plates.
Juror Notes
Beautiful typography. The two major elements (square and line) are carried successfully through the catalog.
We liked how the art is the predominant element throughout and how the display unites the book.
