I See Myself book
HarperCollins Publishers, New York, New York, 2002
Description
The design challenge for I See Myself by Vicki Cobb was to present a young audience with the age-old scientific principles of light and reflection in a fun and fresh new format. The criteria that influenced the design included a limited color palette, easy-to-understand step-by-step illustrated activities, an abundance of white space that complemented Julia Gorton’s unique style of illustration and the use of typography as a visual. The biggest production challenge was assembling all the separate elements of typography, illustration and Adobe Illustrator art into a single Quark file.
