TOKY Branding + Design, St. Louis, Missouri, 2004
Description
World-class photography needs an elegant, understated setting. TOKY was asked to develop a site that portrayed four strongly individualistic photographic styles in a format that worked equally well for all. Our solution, part of an ongoing multimedia rebranding effort, was intentionally subtle. The site design grew out of information architecture that helped to build studio name recognition while presenting these four distinct personalities. The Flash navigation details individual areas of expertise and de-emphasizes all secondary information. The result is atmospheric, neutral without being dull, with work presented in a large, luxurious format. The site works hard not to get in the way of the great photography. It keeps the emphasis right where it belongs: presenting world-class photography in an elegant, understated setting
