Thirty Conversations on Design

Little & Company, Minneapolis, Minnesota, 2009

Description

To celebrate thirty years of inspired work at Little & Company, we collected the thoughts of thirty of the world’s most influential creative professionals, including architects and authors, designers and curators and a host of leaders from iconic brands. Each participant was asked to describe on video specific examples of design they find inspiring and to share their vision of where the design community should focus its energy next. Their answers make up an online archive we call “Thirty Conversations on Design.”

One purpose of this effort was to demonstrate Little & Company’s thought leadership to designers and marketers. Yet our ultimate goal was more altruistic: “Thirty Conversations on Design” was developed as a source of inspiration for the design community in appreciation for all it has given us over the course of three decades. It is intended to remind us that design is not merely a mechanism to sell stuff. Rather, in its truest sense, design is a means to improve people’s lives. As it has ours.
