This was the beginning of a period of white space appearing in my work. I wanted the robot and his whirling type title treatment to be surrounded by white. I knew that it would really give the imgaes great impact. In the stores I noticed sales reps had problems with the type legibility and tacked on a more legible part of the campaign on top of the poster. At that point I figured that sometimes a designer just has to let go.
