Heartport 1997 Annual Report
Cahan & Associates, San Francisco, California, 1998
Description
Heartport develops minimally invasive cardiac surgery systems. Their revolutionary procedure, Port-Access, allows surgeons to perform many procedures through small openings between the ribs without cracking open the chest of the patient. The result is improved quality of life, quick recovery, and much less trauma than with conventional open-heart surgery. Because the past year saw a critical mass of patients having this new, minimally invasive procedure, we created a small book with many pages. The book explores the improved recovery process through personal photos and stories told by the patients.
