Description

Juror Notes

An unconventional air is given the title-page (a good foil for the drawing facing it) by transposing the elements from their expected order to make a pattern. This liveliness unfortunately does not carry through into the front matter with its lines of unreadably long measure. The problem of reproduction drawings, many of which are without color and tone, is simpler than that of paintings, and these are shown in fine clarity. Unity throughout the picture pages is maintained by aligning the drawings at the top and the captions at the bottom insofar as the matter permits.
