One of the speeches reprinted in this small volume is entitled Textbooks Are Not Absolutely Dead Things. Neither are collections of lectures if they are designed and printed so charmingly as this one. It has good taste in its choice of types, its modest proportions, and its serviceable materials. It has sparkle in its two-page spread of title adorned with a wood-cut, and in its sparing bits of typographical decoration.
