One Hundred Years of American Psychiatry 1844–1944
Melvin Loos, 1944
Description
Juror Notes
A well-printed volume of generous proportions, this departs from the deadly correctness of style in the customary university press book. It has a fresh-looking binding of orange and tan cloth (rather than blue or black); the symmetrical title-page has a line in softened red; the sections begin with the author’s name and title all in uniform capitals, but separated by an open dot; the illustrations are in gravure (not half-tone or enamel tip-ins); and the whole effect is enhanced by admirable workmanship.
