The Spoilage: Japanese-American Evacuation and Resettlement
Amadeo Tommasini, Samuel T. Farquhar, Amadeo Tommasini (cover design), Oakland, California, 1946
Description
Juror Notes
This book, dealing with the treatment of Japanese Americans during the war, is an excellent example of fresh typography in presenting a subject which would have brought out the lugubrious in most designers. The text pages are restrained but pleasant, the chapter openings original, and title page and binding attractive in themselves and consistent with all other elements.
