Photographs of a Decade
J.J. Augustin, 1944
Description
Juror Notes
A rigidly arranged title-page ignores the sweeping lines of the picture used as a frontispiece, but the captions on the picture pages fit in with the illustrations graciously. The introductory text is set as usual in picture books in too wide a measure. The picture layout is calculated to avoid monotony, some subjects occupying the entire page, some being reduced so that they have a wide surrounding space. Brown-black ink enriches the tone of the photographs, which are clearly reproduced by half-tones and printed on enamel paper.
