Vans Sandals Box
DGWB Advertising/Jeff Labbé Design, San Francisco, California, 1995
Description
Vans was introducing a new product (sandals) and wanted cost effective packaging. The concept of the packaging was developed around the quirkiness of the sandal. Utilizing bulky graphics, fun, un-inhibited, seasonal photography, colors that reflected the earth-tone pallet of the sandals and a theme of casualness the box seemed to take on an attitude of its own. For the printing we used an existing box die, and crashed it two-color on kraft allowing for fun imperfections to appear.
