Bottle, Medoyeff vodka
Fitch, Seattle, Washington, 2004
Description
We began our relationship with Christian Krogstad when we created award-winning packaging for his Orchard Street Brewery beer. With his new venture into spirits, he asked Fitch to create packaging for his newest product, Medoyeff Vodka.
Fitch recommended an unusually tall, slender, frosted bottle with a screen-printed label to communicate a premium brand that would stand out in both the retail and on-premise selling environments. Drawing on the heritage of cofounder Lee Medoyeff, we developed a package that would hint at his Russian roots but also convey a sense of fresh innovation within an extremely competitive market. The back-of-bottle design embraces the challenge of incorporating intensive legal packaging requirements by using the government warning as a main design element.
