Alan Thomas is a senior editor at the University of Chicago Press, where he has acquired books in the humanities since 1985. His recent and forthcoming projects include books by J.M.Coetzee, John Hollander, Norman Maclean, Thomas Bernhard, Christa Wolf, and Lawrence Weschler.
He was educated at Princeton and Oxford and has worked as a photography critic for several Midwest publications.
