IBM Internet Website Design Guideline

C3 Inc., New York, New York, 1995

Description

As a strategic resource in both corporate branding efforts and product initiatives, the IBM web site needed to create a strong, unified Internet presence - for customers, prospects, employees and the technology community around the globe. Design played a critical role in establishing a consistent, but flexible, framework to accommodate diverse content from more than 400 providers in 25 countries worldwide. C3 Incorporated worked with IBM Corporate Design and Internet Programs to establish direction and provide visual management. To help maintain a cohesive site, C3 developed a unique set of design tools, including guidelines, graphic elements, layouts, and instructive examples. Now numbering more than 60,000 pages, the IBM web site has grown to become one of the world's largest.
