SEED Newsletter

SEED Newsletter

Swanke Hayden Connell Architects, New York, New York, 1996

Description

Socially and Ecologically Effective Design (SEED) design makes use of products, manufacturing processes, and design applications that conserve water, energy, and natural resources; reduce impact on the natural environment; and support historic building preservation, adaptive reuse, and any efforts that promote health and well-being in public and private environments.

The SEED newsletter was text-driven. WIth no images and no production budget, it made heavy use of clip art for dramatic effect. The paper used, Domtar Sandpiper, is one of the few 100% post-consumer papers available. The ink was soy-based.
